The term “Soft skills" is one of the most talked-about topics in the world today. Soft skills are considered to be the most important and essential skills in our personal, family, social and professional life. According to the World Economic Forum, 9 out of the 10 most sought-after skills in 2025 are soft skills.

In this backdrop, for the first time in Bangladesh Leveraging ICT for Employment and Growth of the IT-ITES Industry (LICT) project in association with the Institute of Business Administration, Bangladesh Organization for Learning and Development, Wadhwani Foundation and BASIS Institute of Technology and Management are organizing National Soft Skills Summit-2021. The core objectives of this summit are to create awareness about soft skills, develop a soft skills framework, give awards to the best soft skills trainers and the organizations that value soft skills as an essential skill.

The Programmes and activities under the summit have been divided into two parts. The first part is a learning session with 10 soft skills which will start from November 7. Later in this month, there will be a 3-day long policy workshops, seminars, dialogues, and other sessions.
